Business background

The Keezag MVP was about to be launched, and we started to work on the next-gen of the website and the native apps (iOS and Android).

The product had passed through a name change and needed a new look, a new marketing website, a clearer way to sell the service, a new brand guideline, a design system, and an improvement in the user flow.

My role

I joined Keezag as the Lead Product Designer and found a group of 2 other product designers there. My first action was to know every member of the team and start to collect feedback from them and also from other stakeholders. My second action was to understand the product roadmap and read every business document we had about competitive analysis, user journey map and user flows. For my surprise, we had many reports ready which have helped me a lot to understand the big picture.

After collecting the first data from the focus group, analytics report, heatmap tools, and the user testing in the Userzoom platform, we started to work on the MVP improvement and an version 2 of the iOS and Android app, also the new brand name, the new brand color palette, and the new website.

I also started the first design system in Figma creating the foundation and the basic components. I also worked closely with the Marketing Director to deliver new marketing materials to the comercial team.

High fidelity

For the hi-fi, I started building a Figma library, defining the brand guidelines, foundation rules, components and design tokens and variables. After that, we redesign all the marketing website, to be more align with brand ton & voice and the marketing strategy. After that, we worked on the version 2 of the mobile app. Note: This final version of the mobile UI design was made by the design team after I left Keezag. The final Mobile UI and the illustrations are not part of my design.

Results and metrics

During the short time I worked at Keezag, I successfully helped the Marketing Director with a new Website, the Commercial Director with new commercial materials, the Product Owner with the foundation for the design system, and an initial study for the revamp of the mobile Apps. I also have mentored the design team, delivering assessments of the team to the company managers.

Starting with collaboration, where he showed an open mind to truly listen and understand the feedback provided by other teams such as product, tech, marketing, and sales.   • Kadu is a very capable professional, as well as an awesome person to work with. Beyond his creativity and technical ability by itself, this is very important to know how (and when) to clearly communicate and “sell” your ideas, work as a team, and deal with different points of view.
